ROAD TRIP
I went on road trip last summer that I was really looking forward to since I don’t get to go out and travel that much. My friend Chris and I had decided to go and see if we could hit all 48 of the continental states of the union. A few stretches of road were really weird I’ll admit. When we were passing through Georgia, we saw all these signs saying the white buildings were Senior Living Decatur communities, but they resembled mausoleums more closely to me. In fact, they filled up both sides of the road and Chris swore he saw a few unmarked cemeteries off behind them. And then there was the drive-through funeral home we found up in Wisconsin. I am not kidding. You swing around the funeral home itself and sign in on an electronic board and there’s a big screen that shows the deceased in a coffin and another screen showing the funeral parlor. We even attended a funeral and got a couple of cokes to go. We were also driving through North Dakota when we saw all these tie-dye painted vans with peace symbols and everything on them and all these hippies staggering in and out of the road. We almost hit a few of them. Luckily, everything stayed wavy-gravy and they learned to avoid a fast-moving van.
