I LOVE NEW YORK

One of my roommates from my senior year, Ted, is now living in New York selling disaster recovery plans. He does not have to make cold calls. They give him all of his leads. He seems to be doing pretty good at it too. Whenever I talk to him he tells me that he is among the top sales people for his company, and that he is making a good amount of money. He also told me last time that we spoke that he had recently got a big bonus. He did, however, make sure to complain about how costly New York was. He said that almost all of what he was making was going back out in the form of rent, bills and food. Ted said that he was hardly saving any money, and that he did miss Chicago a decent amount. The reason that he moved to New York in the first place was because his girlfriend had accepted a job there, and she told him that if he really wanted to move back to Chicago that she would find a job there too. Finally he had enough there, and they have plans to move back to Chicago this coming August.
